Product Information
Factor IX or Christmas Factor acts in its active form by hydrolysing a arginine-isoleucine bond in Factor X to form Factor Xa. Factor IXa also requires calcium, phospholpids and Factor VIII as a Co-Factor to be able to do this.
Factor IX immune depleted plasma is stripped of all of its Factor IX to give a level under 0.01iu/ml, whilst retaining normal levels of all other factors and fibrinogen.
